The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released a detailed guide on how candidates who participated and partake in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations in April could check their results right now.
While speaking in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja on Saturday, 11th May, at a Press Conference announcing the release of the results, the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, shared an official guide on how candidates can check their results.
How to Check 2019 UTME Result.
To checkt your result, simply send ‘RESULT’ to the shortcode, 55019, on your mobile phone. You will be charged #50 Naira to check your result.
Please take note that before you can see your result, YOU CAN ONLY USE THE PHONE NUMBER YOU USED DURING JAMB REGISTRATION BEFORE YOUR RESULT WILL BE SENT TO YOU.
How to Check JAMB Result Using SMS:
Type ‘RESULT’ candidate’s surname, first name, and middle name, and then send to the shortcode, “55019”
The service costs N50.
The JAMB registrar disclosed that this new way of checking results was to prevent candidates from being exploited by unscrupulous cyber cafe operators.
The board has disclosed that the UTME which was conducted between April 11th and 17th, 2019 across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was painstaking; describing it as a success story.
The Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede went on to disclose that about 15,145 results were withheld for further clarification, While 34,120 candidates had their results withheld for examination malpractice.
About 1,792,719 candidates sat for the JAMB UTME examination in April, 2019.

All 2019 Participants should take note that their score will be displayed on their computer screen or it will display “You Do Not Have Any Result Yet”.
